HP to Exit Asian Digital Camera Market

According to a statement by HP on August 2, the company will exit the digital camera market in Asia, where it faces stiff competition from local players such as Pentax and Nikon. Instead, it will focus on the home photo printing market in the region. It will continue its digital camera business in other regions including North America and Latin America though, as results there have been positive.
